snow wonder
well what can i say, i just spent the last 3.5 hours in snowy traffic. it was no less than hell on earth. let's just say that i'm a little pissed.
i went to class around 3:00 this afternoon and when we got out there was about 6 inches of snow on the ground (apparently this is enough snow to shut down one of the largest metropolitan areas in the nation). we had a little snowball fight which i of course dominated but then it was time to leave. it took me about 2 hours to get about a mile and then i found a quicker route.
the problem has nothing to do with the snow, it's actually quite lovely, but i don't understand how so many thousands of people have no idea how to drive in the bad weather. i mean seriously, it seems like most people's idea of driving on snow/ice includes accelerating as fast as possible while turning their steering wheel back and forth. IDIOTS! and it's not like you really need a 4x4 either; i made it through a colorado winter in a front wheel drive buick, i mean come on people. now i have a rear wheel drive 4 door explora and the only time i spun out was when i wanted to, because it's actually kind of fun if you know what you're doing.
anyway, let's just hope that the city council will vote to require everyone but me to take a winter driving class.
i hope no one was hurt in this mess. but i also hope that if i come across anyone who drove like that tonight that i don't hurt them.
anger. rage.
