reading is fun(damental)

the summer term started here about 3 weeks ago and ever since i really, literally have not stopped reading. i'm only taking 3 classes, but the reading is deep.
despite the fact that my books, when stacked, stand about 18 inches deep, i am really enjoying my classes. i am taking: New Testament Genre which (surprise) explores the different genres of writing in the NT; Psychopathology which basically goes over all of the possible mental disorders in the world and how to diagnose them; and Counseling Adolescents because they really need it. the NT class is pretty interesting, but not so much that i will go into detail here. psychopathology is really scientific, but is really helpful and especially interesting because i work at a mental hospital. if you really want to know more about any of this i can recommend some reading, lots of it.
if you are a regular reader of psycho logist you will remember that i once posted about how i was going to lose weight and what not. well it took me a while to get motivated, but the wheels are turning and TLK and i are on the bus/wagon/whatever. we took a health class at gold's gym a couple of weeks ago and found out all this stuff about nutrition and working out that nobody really knows except people who are really into nutrition and working out.
what we learned was great. we are now on a regimen of multi-vitamins, probiotics, and soy protein, as well as exercise. i expect the pounds to just melt away. the best thing is that i already have tons more energy and i feel great. the second best thing is that the muti-vitamin that i am taking turns my pee the color of lemon-lime gatorade. i'll let you know how i progress.
finally, for today i want to address some issues concerning weather. all you people out there that think that seattle is all rain and gray are idiots, it is freaking awesome. sure during the winter months there is some rain, but he annual rainfall is the same as nashville. otherwise it is beautiful. most of the summer days are sunny and the temperature stays around 75 and rarely gets above 85. da da da da da i'm lovin' it.
enough for now.

Mandy says the multivitamin-pee thing is a ditto. Me too. Protein shakes have an even more violent effect on me. Come to think of it, I think they might be more useful in losing weight than gaining it. Why do we spend so much money on them?
